1. For Windows 95 systems:
Restart your computer.
Press the F8 key when you see the message, "Starting Windows 95."
2. For Windows 98/Me systems:
Restart your computer.
Press the Ctrl key until your Windows 98 startup menu appears.
Choose the Safe Mode option then hit the Enter key.
3. For Windows XP systems:
Restart your computer.
When prompted, press the F8 key. If Windows XP Professional starts without the “Press select operating system to start” menu, restart your computer.
Press F8 again after the Power-On Self Test is done.
Choose the Safe Mode option from the Windows Advanced Options Menu.
4. For Windows 2000 systems:
Restart your computer.
Press the F8 key, when you see the Starting Windows bar at the bottom of the screen.
Choose the Safe Mode option from the Windows 2000 Advanced Options Menu.
5. Scan your system with Trend Micro antivirus and note down all files detected as WORM_KLEZ.H. These infected files may are WINK*.EXE files. * is a random number of random characters.
6. Click Start>Run, type Regedit then hit the Enter key.
7. In the left panel, double click the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>Windows
>CurrentVersion>Run
8. In the right panel, look for and then delete these registry values. * is any random characters:
”Wink*” = ”%System%\Wink*.exe”
”WQK” = “%System%\Wqk.exe”
9. In the left panel, double click the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>System>CurrentControl Set>Services
10. Under the Services key, look for and then delete this subkey:
Wink*
11. Close the Registry Editor.
12. Restart the system.
13. Scan your system with Trend Micro antivirus and delete all files detected as WORM_KLEZ.H. To do this, Trend Micro customers must download the latest pattern file and scan their system. Other email users may use HouseCall, Trend Micro's free online virus scanner.
14. Since this worm uses a vulnerability in HTTP-based email clients like Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express, please apply the latest patches:
Update to Internet Explorer 5.01 SP2
Update to IE 5.5 SP2
Update to IE 6.0

256mb DDR memory with Nanya chipset chip module number with NT5DS16M8AT-7K: Pls set memory to CAS Latency 2.5 If the SPD setting is used, the memory latency will default to CAS2 to revent stability issues. Go to bios: Go to Chipset Features disable SPD and set Memory option to Manual set CAS Latency for 2.5 save bios and exit.

NETBUI support in Windows XP As we know , NETBUI is not natively supported in Windows XP. And here is how to do it:
The files necessary for installing the NetBEUI protocol on Windows XP are Netnbf.inf and Nbf.sys. Complete the following steps to install NetBEUI:
1. Insert your Windows XP CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive and browse to the Valueadd\MSFT\Net\NetBEUI folder.
2. Copy Nbf.sys to the %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\Drivers directory.
3. Copy Netnbf.inf to the %SYSTEMROOT%\Inf hidden directory.
4. Click Start , click Control Panel , and then double-click Network Connections.
5. Right-click the adapter you want to add NetBEUI to, and then click Properties.
6. On the General tab, click Install.
7. Click Protocol , and then click Add.
8. Click to select NetBEUI Protocol from the list and then click OK.
9. Restart your computer if you receive a prompt to complete the installation.

The NetBEUI protocol should now be installed and working.
NOTE: %SYSTEMROOT% is a Windows environment variable that identifies the directory where Windows XP is installed (for example, C:\Windows). To view the value associated with %SYSTEMROOT%, as well as other environment variables, at a command prompt, type set , and then press ENTER.

To disable on-board lan on gigabyte ga-6vemL previous version bios ( F4 ) does not allow for onboard LAN disable.

Rectron isdn modem for Symantec WinFax v10 and PCanywhere please install RVS com software first. This will create the following driver set for communication :

RVS ISDN Modem analog
RVS ISDN V.120

then Install WinFax / PCanywhere and select RVS as the fax/communication driver.

Rectron ISDN internal PCI ( md-ri128p ) installation guide. Please install the wdxwmac driver . After the driver has been installed , run Hyper Terminal and add the following :
ATE1 (This will allow echo on)
ATZ (This will reset modem register)
AT&W0 (This will save to modem profile 0)
Setup dial up connection and dial out.

kouwell IDE Raid controller KW-571H. This card won't be detected on any Intel Mainboard due to the phoenix bios . pls use iwill sideraid 100 ( ra-is100r ) instead .

VIA 694x Chipset vs 1gb memory
The VIA 694x chipset based motherboards can only support up to 6 sides of memory according to PC133 specification.
This chipset only supports a total of 48 chips . If need to use up to 1gb memory , please use 2 x 512mb
instead
