Microsoft SA has announced the appointment of Rectron as
its fourth local OEM Distributor. From October 2002,
Rectron will be licenced for the distribution of the OEM
System Builder product.
Says Thomas Hansen, director of the SME group at Microsoft
SA: "We are very pleased to announce our distribution
partnership with Rectron which is based on a sound
business relationship that has been built over the last
five years. Rectron's national footprint and experience
with smaller businesses will assist resellers
significantly in their dealings with the end-customer.
"Positive feedback from our reseller partners has strongly
indicated that our channel has confidence in Rectron as a
business and the level of service it offers," continues
Hansen. "The input provided by our channel partners plays
an important role in the appointment of distribution
partners," he says.
Says Mark Lu, CEO of Rectron: "Our appointment as a
Microsoft OEM distributor is an important milestone in our
development as it allows us to expand our business and
equip resellers with the correct information and tools to
correctly sell products to the end-customer."
Says Hansen: "Our OEM distribution partners are extremely
important to our business and play an integral role in the
Microsoft value chain. We are looking forward to working
with Rectron in providing system builders with great
